Festival del Classico 2022 | Il lavoro dall'antichità alla nostra Costituzione

In Roman law, slavery was a legal institution whereby a human being could be bought and become the property of their master. Our Constitution attributes a dignity to work that makes it the foundation of our Republic (Article 1) and recognizes the worker's "right to remuneration commensurate with the quantity and quality of their work" (Article 36). Despite this, precarious conditions similar to those of slavery are not lacking. Following this, a discussion with students from Turin's high schools will take place. "Work from Antiquity to Our Constitution" is a dialogue between Laura Pepe, Oliviero Diliberto, Gustavo Zagrebelsky, and Massimo Cuono.
