Bidirectional (Naviform) Percussion Blade Core 2/2 - Final Shaping and Initial Blade Removals

This was a tough one, I’m not gonna lie. I made a couple bad strikes and ran into some internal fractures, and it took a while to regain control of this core after that. It’s smaller than I originally intended, but I think I left it at a pretty good stage. This was made as a display piece for now, so I will not be continuing any further with it, not for a long time anyways. It is set up now to allow for a sequence of proper bidirectional blades to be removed. In the future I will make another one of these cores and try to get some proper pointed blades and characteristic upsilon blades, to make projectile points and other tools from the Neolithic period of Anatolia and the Near East.
