Seattle's 4th of July Boom or Bust in 2025?

We kicked off the day with a delicious backyard BBQ. The grill was fired up, the food was amazing, and the good vibes with family and friends were flowing. There’s nothing quite like the smell of burgers and hot dogs on a summer day to get you in the holiday spirit. We had all the classic sides, plenty of laughs, and just soaked up the festive atmosphere. As evening approached, we were all geared up for the fireworks. Now, here's where things got a little weird. For a city known for its enthusiasm, it felt like not that many people were lighting off fireworks compared to previous years. We saw a few here and there, but it wasn't the usual dazzling, non-stop display from every direction. Then came the firework failures! We witnessed a few duds and a cake that went out of control, leading to some hilarious (and thankfully, safe) moments. There were even a couple of small, easily contained fires from rogue sparks, which was a bit of a reality check. Despite the minor pyro hiccups, the evening ended well. The fireworks that I did light were till incredible, and the overall spirit of celebration remained strong. It just goes to show that even when things don't go exactly as planned, the joy of spending time with loved ones and celebrating our nation's birthday is what truly matters.
