Elvas (Portalegre, Alentejo, Portugal) Conduciendo 4K Viaje en Coche UHD

Scenic drive through Elvas, a city in the Portalegre district of the Alentejo region in eastern Portugal, bordering Spain and the city of Badajoz. It boasts the largest number of bastion fortifications in the world and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey begins by entering the city via the Olivenza Gate Ramp. We pass by the Outer Gate of Olivenza, admire the bastioned walls of Elvas along the Olivenza Curtain Path, and exit through the Portal. Next, we pass the impressive Amoreira Aqueduct, which is as tall as a 10-story building and, at over 8 kilometers, the longest in Europe. We then enter the fortified historic center, passing through the Corner Gate and the Conception Gate (which passes beneath the Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception). We pass by a building belonging to the Polytechnic University of Portalegre (the old Train Barracks), the Elvas Municipal Market (the old House of Boats), and continued to the Church of the Dominicans, the Elvas Pillory, and the Arch of Santa Clara, where we couldn't proceed through the narrow streets of the old town. We turned back and went down past the Artillery Barracks, saw the old city walls from within the city, and entered the center where we saw the Elvas Museum of Contemporary Art, the Fernandina Tower, and the Santa Mónica Fountain.
