Goodbye Tryhackme! #tryhackme #cybersecurity #cyber #security #hacker #hacking

This video is one that I am not happy about making. TryHackMe quietly built NoScope — an AI-powered penetration testing company trained on millions of user sessions from their own platform. The same data you generated paying $10/month to learn cybersecurity was used to build a commercial product, and they denied doing it before launch. In this video I break down exactly what happened, why I canceled my TryHackMe subscription, and what this means for anyone using the platform right now. Credit to Tyler Ramsbey for originally surfacing this story. This isn't just about one company. This is about a pattern happening across the entire tech industry: platforms monetizing user behavior data for AI training without meaningful consent. If you're studying cybersecurity on any platform, you need to understand what's happening with your data. This is all based on the perception and understanding of the data that is presented to me. This is in no way foolproof and I have no visibility into the innerworkings of the companies. This is my opinion based on the information I have. → Subscribe if you want practical cyber career advice, not just another cert roadmap.
