This evening walk takes you through some of the capital's most atmospheric corners, beginning at the newly renovated Italian Plaza, one of Bucharest's most charming recent transformations, all the way through University Square and into the city's buzzing night corridors to Unirii Plaza. In this walk you'll see the newly landscaped Italian Plaza at dusk, with its central roundabout, warm street lamps and eclectic mix of old and new architecture. From there, the route moves along a grand neoclassical boulevard past one of Bucharest's most ornate historic buildings, then opens into University Square, home to the iconic equestrian statue of Mihai Viteazul and the illuminated facade of old buildings. Further along, the lively terraces from Old Town Area, the beautifully restored stone facades near the Hilton Garden Inn, and finally the city's vibrant night pedestrian corridor at Unirii Square bring the walk to a close.
