What do you need to get started with deep sky astrophotography? This video shows beginners how to get started with astrophotography using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, a telephoto lens, and a tracking system, such as the SkyGuiderPro from IOptron or the Star Adventurer from Skywatcher. An astro-modified Canon 6D was used for this video, but non-astro-modified cameras, such as the Canon EOS R, can also be used to capture initial images. Of course, any APS-C camera, including those from other manufacturers, can also be used. Without a telescope, and with the equipment you may already own, you can get started with this hobby.
