Let's Play Omsi 2 [#57]: Verfahren auf der 73 in Aachen 😱

The city of Aachen today has a population of nearly 250,000; a significant portion of these are students studying at the RWTH Aachen University or the Aachen University of Applied Sciences. Due to its history, Aachen is also known as the "Imperial City," as it was Charlemagne's preferred imperial residence and its cathedral was the coronation site of German kings during the Middle Ages. To this day, Aachen is characterized by its hot springs, which make it a spa town, and its cathedral, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town also boasts many other historical buildings, such as the town hall and the Elisenbrunnen fountain. To the west, the city borders the Netherlands and Belgium. Public transport in the city and the surrounding region is currently provided by buses operated by the Aachener Straßenbahn und Energieversorgungs-AG (Aachener Straßenbahn und Energieversorgungs-AG), or ASEAG for short. The red vehicles of this municipal transport company are a common sight in the region. Traditionally, the bus routes are grouped according to their last digit. For example, the Vaalser Straße – Bushof – Brand axis is served by lines 5, 15, 15, 35, 45, 55, and 65. Lines 3A/B and 13A/B form loops around the city center. On weekdays, line 73 supplements line 33 on the section between the University Hospital and the Bushof. The two lines then diverge, with line 73 connecting the city center with Kaiserplatz, the eastern district, and the Aachen-Rothe Erde train station. Buses terminating at the Rothe Erde station turn left onto Eisenbahnweg and reverse direction at the next roundabout. Due to high demand, in addition to standard buses, large-capacity articulated buses with four axles and four doors are also used on this route. ``` Buy OMSI 2: https://store.steampowered.com/app/25...
