Starting Up My M113 Armored Personnel Carrier
This is my M113 armored personnel carrier used all through Vietnam. It was put in use in 1961. It has a Detroit Diesel V6 engine and puts out 275hp. This vehicle is still being used today all around the world. This vehicle is equipped with a machine gun nest which would hold an M2 50 caliber machine gun. Inside the vehicle is the original radio equipment and turntable. The turntable would hold the 60mm or 81mm mortar. The entire roof opens up so the mortar can be fired from inside the vehicle. Top speed on this is 35mph. It's a lot of fun to drive!! To see this vehicle, museum tours are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10am through November 11th. After the 11th, the museum will close for the winter and re-open in April. Thanks for watching! Shop t-shirts: https://dragonmans.com/store
