U.S. Army’s New 9-Seater Chevrolet Infantry Squad Vehicle | ISV

The U.S. Army’s Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), developed by GM Defense, is a lightweight, high-speed transport designed to enhance the mobility of Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (IBCTs). Based on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 platform, the ISV can carry a nine-soldier squad along with their equipment, boasting a payload capacity of 3,200 pounds. Its compact and versatile design allows for rapid deployment; it can be transported via external sling load by a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, internally within a CH-47 Chinook, or through low-velocity air drops from C-130 and C-17 aircraft.
