Our VW Split Window Bus project continues with preparations to assemble the engine. The first step is to flush the engine before removing the push rod tubes and re-torqueing the heads. Our commitment to using what we have reaches new depths when we refurbish the oil plate by flattening the sealing surface. The generator has had a hard life, so it is disassembled for cleaning, painting, and a new set of bearings. Finally, the long block gets a fresh coat of paint.
