4 Speed Transmission Clutch Release Finger Replacement
I think we have all been stuck on the side of the road a time or two before, and this time when I went to pull in my clutch and had absolutely zero resistance all of a sudden, and just a floppy clutch lever, I knew something was broken- and it was not my cable. Upon a brief inspection, I found that the arm attached to the release shaft that comes out the top of my kicker cover was completely loose. So I opened it up and (not much to my surprise) found that the release finger (what you might also refer to as a fork) on the shaft was broken in two. So, clearly, it was time for a replacement. My first time doing this particular job, but it was actually a pretty quick and easy fix! And thankfully I had the spare part kicking around so there was no waiting for parts to arrive in the mail 🙂 And we also have a little trick we do just to help keep that release finger centered on the shaft so that it is putting even load on your throw-out bearing and helping to prolong the life of that bearing. I hope this video is helpful to anybody watching or at least entertaining. Thanks for being here. ✌️ And, anyone who want's to send me pictures of their bikes, you can email me at: [email protected] PLEASE SEND LARGE CLEAR PHOTOS! 1080p x 1080p is the MINIMUM we can work with, so please do your best at making sure your photos are large and not blurry 🙂 And send more than one if you can as well! Only motorcycle related emails please - sorry, but I just don't have the time to engage in personal conversations. Thank you for your understanding. If you DON'T want your bike highlighted in a future video showing viewers bikes then make sure to mention it in your email. Other than that, expect to see your bike in one of my videos!
