Gray hair grow out transition using at home semi-permanent color from ESalon

It's month 7 of my gray hair grow out and the transition is getting a little rough, like it does for a lot of us growing out our grays! I have about 3 inches of natural color growth and about 6 inches of brassy, orangey washed out color on the ends. Everyone knows what it would look like to simply grow it out, so let's do an experiment. We're going to use semipermanent ashy hair color from ESalon to tone the brassy parts and leave the new growth alone. I've contacted my colorist at ESalon (no big deal, everyone gets help from a colorist if they want it!), showed her a picture of my hair and told her the plan. She suggested I try a very cool semi-permanent hair color to make the transition. Truthfully, the brassiness was starting to turn a color I really didn't like so I'm excited to try this. The hair color should naturally wash out over the course of a month. Let's see how it matches!
