From Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. 174cm tall, right-handed batter and thrower. She currently plays for the JD League's Bic Camera Takasaki team. She began playing softball in the third grade of elementary school, and as a second-year student at Kyushu Women's High School (now Fukuoka University Wakaba High School), she contributed to the team's victory at the 1999 World Junior Championships as the ace pitcher. After graduating from high school in 2001, she joined the Hitachi Takasaki Softball Club (now Bic Camera Women's Softball Takasaki). At the Beijing Olympics in August 2008, she threw 413 pitches over three games over two days, contributing to the team's gold medal. She has since won numerous individual titles in the Japan League, including MVP, Best ERA, and Most Wins Pitcher.
