Spirit Of Tasmania I East Devonport TAS
Spirit I departs Devonport on 12/07/26 at 17:09, on her nightly voyage across Bass Strait, bi-nightly from Devonport alternating/tag teaming with Spirit II. I was already in the area filming a train across the river going by and I knew I’d be in the right place at the right time to film the Spirit going out, come a few months time this will be a thing of the past as the new terminal just down the river will be open and the new Spirits IV and V will have commenced service with the current terminal and Spirits I and II being decommissioned. What will become of the current terminal or ferries when this happens is unclear for the moment but knowing the current government the old ferries and terminal will be sold to the highest bidder to help pay for this stadium. So I’m trying to film as many departures from the current terminal with the current ferries as I can before that happens.
