Repair Creality Ender 3 V3 and V3 PLUS Extruder and Hot End Jam, Unclog and Disassemble Print Head

In this video I will show you how to disassemble the print head on your Creality Ender 3 V3 and V3 Plus 3D printer in the context of troubleshooting an extruder or hot end jam or clog. This includes removing and disassembling the extruder module, the hot end, removing the nozzle, and even the front side PCB in the event that it is damaged. At the end of the video I will show you my method for removing and changing filament to hopefully prevent further extruder jams in the future. This method dates back to the original K1 but I believe it may still be relevant in preventing the small amount of filament that gets pinched off by the extruder gears if the extruder is not unlocked before pulling the filament out. If your extruder does get clogged or jammed, I will show you some troubleshooting approaches and strategies to employ to resolve the issue and clear the jam. I've had to do this twice now on these machines - once with swollen filament before the hot end throat, and second with a catastrophic failure where the whole hot end was encased in plastic.
