A memorandum of understanding was signed between the German automaker Opel and the Algerian company AGM, representing Algeria. A key point in the statement issued by the CEO, who met with President Tebboune, was that Opel would grant Algeria the opportunity to manufacture Opel engines—a privilege not available to any other country outside the European Union.
