Mirror's Edge on Xbox Series X - Sharp, smooth, and a Game-Breaking Bug!

Mirror’s Edge is one of those games where clarity, speed and precision matter more than anything else — and on modern Xbox hardware, it almost feels reborn. In this video I play the Xbox 360 version of Mirror’s Edge, enhanced with the Xbox One X 4K patch and the Xbox Series X performance boost, resulting in sharp visuals and a smooth 60 FPS experience. And wow — the game has never felt this fluid. The higher framerate makes difficult moves much easier to execute, especially advanced techniques like wall jumps and momentum-based climbs. Faith feels lighter, faster, and more responsive than ever. But then… something goes wrong. Early in the game, right after the training section, you enter an office area where you’re supposed to call a lift to progress. My instinct was correct — the lift is the way forward — but the game never showed the interaction prompt. No “Press A”. No feedback. No way forward. After checking a walkthrough, it became clear: this is a backwards compatibility bug. The interaction prompt simply doesn’t appear on Xbox Series X, making the game impossible to progress at that point. And that’s the real frustration. Mirror’s Edge looks better than ever on Xbox One X. It plays smoother than ever on Xbox Series X. But a single missed compatibility issue breaks the experience entirely. This is one of those moments where I can’t help but think: great technical upgrades — but incomplete testing. A beautiful, smooth game… that sadly becomes unplayable because one crucial check was missed. If you love Mirror’s Edge, hit LIKE. If you enjoy honest technical deep-dives, SUBSCRIBE.
