Time: Leaving the water for a duration until the signs of impurity disappear . Desalination/Treatment: Using modern technology, such as membranes or chemical treatment, to restore the water's original characteristics . Practical Application: The Shaykh explains that if a large body of water, like a swimming pool, contains a small amount of impurity but shows no change in its three characteristics, it remains pure . Conversely, if a smaller container is contaminated, the ruling depends on whether the three characteristics were altered . In cases of necessity, such as drought or war, one must adhere to the fundamental rule of evaluating the three characteristics to determine purity.
