Greco SS-600 SG – Likely Korean-Made? | Post-Video Update in Description
Update after publication: Further inspection and research suggest that this guitar is more likely to be Korean-made than Japanese-made. The Korean Jung Poong potentiometers, a separate straight headstock joint (not a scarf joint), the wide square-edged nut, black shielding paint and unmarked pickups all point in that direction. The exact Korean factory has not been confirmed, so I am still avoiding a definitive factory attribution. The guitar was initially described more cautiously in the video because these details had not yet been fully investigated. This appears to be a later Greco SS-600 SG-style guitar. It needed some attention when it arrived, but quickly proved itself to be a very good player.
