Both artists earned the Doctor of Musical Arts in Guitar Performance and Literature from Eastman, where they studied under Professor Nicholas Goluses. Since their founding, the duo has performed widely across Western New York, appearing on Live from Hochstein—the region’s longest-running live broadcast concert series—at the Hochstein School Performance Hall, as well as on the Summer@Eastman series at Hatch Recital Hall. They have also been featured in the Hoag Music Series at the Hoag Library of Orleans County, Classical Guitar Night at Rochester’s Little Theatre (presented by the Rochester Classical Guitar society), and the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford Music Series. Recently, the duo toured North and South Carolina, performing and teaching at institutions such as Wofford College, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg, Winston-Salem Suzuki School, Weaver Academy for Performing and Visual Arts, and Arendell Parrott Academy. They also released their debut album, Between Strings, featuring both duo and solo works. The album sold out shortly after its release. The Duo’s repertoire spans music from the 17th through 20th centuries, highlighting the expressive possibilities of two guitars. Their programs feature works such as Enrique Granados’s Danza Española, Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Pièces de clavecin, Fernando Sor’s L’Encouragement, Franz Schubert’s Ständchen, and Stanley Myers’s Cavatina from The Deer Hunter.
