This journey took us deep into the heart of the Dolomites, where we combined motorhome travel, wild overnight stays and demanding hikes. Our first nights were spent near Palafavera, followed by a spectacular hike to Lago Coldai, surrounded by classic Dolomite peaks. We continued to Alleghe and spent the night below Marmolada, Italy’s highest mountain, where we completed the scenic Vecchio Trek Fedaia, offering wide open views and historic mountain paths. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Lake Braies, before heading into Val Fiscalina, from where we hiked towards the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo via a quieter and more natural approach through the valley. The final part of our journey led us to the remote and peaceful Val Visdende, where we stayed at Camp Gasperina and explored the surrounding ridge trails high above the valley – a perfect ending to this Dolomites adventure.
