The Suicide Machines - Fireside Bowl - 09.15.95 - The Suicide Machines Files

Soundboard recording from September 15, 1995 opening for Citizen Fish in Chicago, IL. Chicago became our second home early on, and the Fireside Bowl was a big part of that. This was a one-off show with Citizen Fish (who headlined) while we were on tour with Buck-O-Nine. By this point, we were mostly playing songs from Skank For Brains and some newer ones written for Destruction By Definition which was recorded just a few months later. Notes: Jay says something about the Skapaloozer tour while we're setting up which prompts a spontaneous A Capella version of I'm Not A Loser by The Descendents (which uses derogatory terms and has an undertone that I've found difficult to reconcile as I've gotten older.) We make several references to Apocalypse Hoboken in between songs, specifically the Jerk Lessons EP which we listened to a lot during that tour. They are included here in unaltered/unedited form for historical sake. #thesuicidemachines #firesidebowl #thesuicidemachinesfiles
