A beautiful pregnancy tradition that brought both our families together

There are so many pregnancy traditions across India, and this was one I hadn’t even heard of until I became pregnant. Masakka Karuppu is a Tamil pregnancy ceremony that is usually celebrated around the fifth month, although every family has their own way of doing it. Since our families weren’t together earlier, we celebrated ours in my seventh month with all four parents. In this vlog, I’m sharing what Masakka Karuppu is, the different meanings behind the tradition, and how we celebrated it at home with our family.
