The Sea Of Shared Pain

He was watching the noisy horizon come apart and reassemble itself in the sea, gazing through it as though it were a projection of all his memories and those of his ancestors. There is a mass of life in which souls are born to share experience, an ocean with events of every kind beyond comprehension. Many, like you, wonder when there is fog why they are born into this abyss of chaos, where organisms devour one another to survive, trample one another to breathe, drown one another to speak. Why reality keeps bringing them back to what appears to be a sea of suffering. It was then that the great cosmic intellect responded. A reverberated and deep meaningful voice emerged from within his head. It was my project to bring this into reality, to entertain myself in eternity. It was never my intention to create suffering. But before, it did not exist, and now it does. Though there may be much fog, I understand your rumination; even if I tell you that suffering cannot exist without its counterpart, you will not grasp it now. Only the following answer will resonate: After creation, splitting myself apart to bring forth a first being, the realization of being alone in that chaos — as I once was in my own — would not allow me to stop creating them. I had no one with whom to share the suffering of solitude, and that is why I summon them all into that reality together. No one should bear the sentence of an eternity alone, and so they share the suffering, together.
