The Noto Peninsula earthquake struck on New Year's Day. Our guest is Yoshinari Oya, Chairman of Bushien, who is working tirelessly to restore and rebuild the area. While Butsushien's corporate headquarters are located in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, its facilities are scattered across hard-hit areas like Noto Town and Wajima City, and many of the disabled and elderly people who use them, as well as its staff, were affected by the disaster. Butsushien has built deep ties with the local community through its diverse welfare facilities. It also has a track record of participating in disaster relief activities across the country in partnership with the Japan Overseas Cooperation Association (JOCA).
