I witnessed the world’s most insane race, the legendary Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling in Gloucestershire! I was incredibly lucky to meet Chris Anderson, the 23-time champion and official Guinness World Record holder for the most wins in cheese rolling history. He even let me film from the exclusive media section! The Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling event is a legendary British tradition that takes place every spring in Gloucestershire, England. About this event: This chaotic race has been running for over 200 years, with the earliest written records dating back to the early 1800s, though many believe it began even earlier as a pagan fertility ritual. Competitors hurl themselves down a dangerously steep hill chasing a 9lb wheel of Double Gloucester cheese. The first person to reach the bottom wins the cheese, though it’s the bravery (and the tumbles) that make the event so unforgettable.
