PASSEIO DE MOTA COM VISITA À PIA DO URSO E AO MOUCHÃO

A different Carnival Sunday. We left home for Pia do Urso, where we had coffee and a delicious pastel de nata (custard tart). Then we went to the Sanctuary of Fátima where we bought a candle. We continued on our way and stopped at Mouchão in Pernes, then went looking for lunch—nothing better than a delicious stone soup in Almeirim. In the afternoon, we went to Salvaterra de Magos, went to the Bico da Goiva swing, and then visited Escaroupim. On the way home, we passed by Palhota (a village in the aviary) and the Azambuja Palace.
