The Best Velvety Mashed Potatoes!

Ingredients: • Water: 2 l • Potatoes: 2 lbs (approx. 1 kg) • Salt: ½ tbsp • Garlic: 2-3 cloves • Bay leaf: 1 pc • Allspice: 3-4 berries • Nutmeg: to taste • Hot milk: for the right consistency • Butter: 2-4 tbsp • Parsley: to taste and garnish Instructions: 1 Add salt, peeled and chopped potatoes, garlic cloves, bay leaf, and allspice berries to boiling water. 2 Boil the potatoes until they are soft. 3 Drain the potatoes and keep them on the heat for half a minute to let the moisture evaporate. 4 Remove the spices (bay leaf and allspice). 5 Mash the potatoes with a potato masher. 6 Add 2-4 tablespoons of butter, stirring constantly with a whisk. 7 Add ¼ to ½ cup of hot milk to achieve the right consistency, stirring constantly with a whisk. 8 Grate a little nutmeg into the mixture. 9 Add some chopped parsley and mix everything thoroughly with a whisk. 10 Serve on a plate and decorate with chopped parsley.
