1980 Navy at Washington

This is the 10/25/1980 Navy at Washington game. Navy was coached by former player George Welsh and came in at 4-2. They had a good team by Midshipmen standards having lost two very close contests. Don James was in his sixth season at Washington and had he had also built a program that had solid depth annually and ultimately this 1980 team would win the Pac 10 and go to The Rose Bowl. Even though this was a decent Navy Team their win here would go down as a huge upset. I claim no rights.
