In many Nusantara traditions, the ideal concept of leadership is rarely depicted solely in terms of power. There is always a partner or balance. In Javanese tradition, for example, there are the concepts of Ratu Adil (just queen) and Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana (affectionate ruler). In Sundanese, the importance of compassion, compassion, and nurturing is recognized. Power without compassion is considered imperfect. The goddess Pohaci is symbolic and spiritually valuable as the mother of feeling and the mother of the heart. In Sundanese culture, the word "indung" (mother) doesn't just mean biological mother. She often symbolizes the source, origin, or center of life.
