Well, keep an eye out, because this Nissan X-Trail e-Power E-4orce is also looking to make a name for itself. This new Nissan X-Trail is like a Nissan Qashqai, but bigger. Basically, because it shares a platform with one of the best-selling SUVs of recent years, but it's 25 cm longer and 10 cm taller. Adding a much more luxurious aesthetic and the e-power mechanics of its name, one might wonder: will it have the same success?   Well, what we know so far is that this fourth generation of the X-Trail has little left of the rugged off-road image it projected in 2001. It's an SUV that oozes electricity and is updated to meet the latest standards of comfort and technology, but... Is it cutting-edge or is it a fake modernist? Well, it's true that it's powered by electricity, but this is generated thanks to a gasoline engine that allows you to refuel without having to plug into a charging station. In other words, like having a Heura lunch with your greyhound in the park, but leaving the Humana store wearing a mink coat.   Of course, like the good hybrid that it is, we get the ECO label. I'll tell you right away that what I liked most about it is how pleasant it is to drive, similar to an electric car but without the hassle of range or recharging. Also, its spacious, well-finished interior and versatility, with good off-road capabilities. The Nissan X-Trail is much more than a Qashqai with a more adventurous and family-friendly profile. This generation will reach 7 million units sold, and to achieve this, it's going to rely on its surnames like never before.   Of course, the e-Power is an interesting and innovative solution, with which you gain driving comfort in abundance. And the e-4x4 gives it that 4x4 touch that the X-Trail has had since its inception.   There are some things, however, that didn't convince me:   Third row of seats is impractical Trunk space behind rivals Consumption is noticeable at high speeds   Its starting price, with a hybrid system, all-wheel drive, and 7 seats, is €45,800. This is even higher with the Tekna + trim, which goes for over €55,000. It competes on price with its Korean rivals, and the Toyota Highlander is much more expensive. However, they do offer a more spacious third row of seats.
