$10/L Black Market Fuel?! Malawi Went Wild – Strayan Ep 17

In this episode of STRAYAN, the bike gods test me once again. My XRV750 fuel pump decided to yeet itself into the afterlife (fuel pump #4… send help), leaving me stranded on the side of a long, empty Malawian road. A local family who owns a farm 50km outside Lilongwe came to the rescue and picked me up like some stray Aussie they found in the wild. I headed back into the city to yet again hunt down another fuel pump… during a massive national fuel crisis where black-market fuel is going for about $10 AUD a litre. Absolute scenes. Somehow, miraculously, I finally patched the old girl back together and pushed on to Senga Bay. After struggling to find enough fuel to actually get there, I finally made it — and collapsed on the beach for a couple of days of reset, sun, and pretending my bike isn’t planning my murder. Next episode… do we finally make it to the Malawi/Tanzania border? Or does fuel pump #5 enter the chat? Stay tuned. #Strayan #AfricanAdventure #CapeToCairo #MotorbikeTravel #XRV750 #AfricaByMotorbike #Malawi #Lilongwe #SengaBay #AdventureRider #OverlandingAfrica #FuelCrisis #TravelVlog #AussieTraveller #MotorcycleJourney #HondaAfricaTwin #BackpackerLife #TravelAfrica #BushMechanic #BikeBreakdown #SoloTravel
