Last month, Andy Blankenbuehler earned his third choreography Tony Award for his work on the new musical Bandstand, now running at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Set in post-World War II Cleveland in the era of 1940s swing, Blankenbuehler has created a series of stylized, high-energy production numbers that keep his ensemble on their toes eight performances a week.
