During his participation in a symposium held as part of the annual "Twiza" Forum in Tangier, thinker and researcher Professor Ahmed Assid addressed the trajectory of the Amazigh issue in Morocco and the challenges facing its effective institutionalization. His presentation highlighted the reality of political and cultural recognition of Amazigh, deeming it incomplete and falling short of aspirations, despite the historical precedents established by King Mohammed VI's historic Ajdir speech in 2001, which marked a pivotal moment in the official approach to linguistic and identity diversity in the country. Assid explicitly criticized the inaction of government bodies and executive officials in the genuine implementation of the organic law related to defining the stages for the officialization of Amazigh. The intervention emphasized that the pace of progress is increasingly slow and hampered by administrative obstacles under successive governments, preventing the comprehensive and effective integration of the Amazigh language into education, media, administration, and public services.
