He talks about telling the stories in the show through the eyes of his character, the impeccable sets and immersing himself in the sets. He talks the strangeness of the world, and how the world of mental health and poverty laws seems so alien to us. He also talks about the benefits to making a ten hour series rather than a film. The series stars Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans, and Dakota Fanning as an ad hoc team assembled in mid-1890s New York City to investigate a serial killer who is murdering street children. The series also stars David Wilmot, Robert Wisdom, Ted Levine, Douglas Smith, Matthew Shear, Brian Geraghty and Q'orianka Kilcher.
