Troon - New Station (almost!) - New Ferry Route

Troon station buildings were destroyed by fire in July 2021. Early in 2024 work started to restore the buildings to their former glory, in time for the golf Open being held at Royal Troon from 14th July 2024. Will it be ready in time? Let's have a look at progress to date (18th June 2024) Troon is also hosting a temporary ferry service to the Isle of Arran, after they decided that the Alfred was no longer safe to use the Irish Berth at Ardrossan Harbour.
