Previously, a newly constructed building at the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School in Buduran, Sidoarjo, East Java, collapsed on Monday afternoon (September 29, 2025). Several people were injured, including several students believed to still be trapped in the rubble. The incident occurred approximately after Asr prayers at 3:00 PM WIB. Several residents reported hearing a loud noise, like an earthquake. Upon inspection, it turned out that the center of the building had collapsed. "Yesterday, permission was given to concrete the top. It looks like it has three floors. As far as I know, this is a prayer room," said Munir, Head of Neighborhood Association (RT) 7/RW 3, Buduran Village/District, Sidoarjo, at the scene. Police officers were already at the scene. Several officers from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) also arrived, attempting to evacuate the victims. Some victims were evacuated by ambulance. Some were still trapped in the rubble.
