In this video I share my thoughts on this extremely popular rest camp, situated in the south-eastern tip of the Kruger National Park. Satara is located in a great area for game viewing and it's also very family friendly, with a large swimming pool and jungle gym, as well as a big shop, restaurant and place to order fast food. I doesn't, however, have a nice view like some of the other camps, because the terrain here is very flat and it doesn't overlook a river. The campsite, however, is extremely popular - especially the stands along the fence line, from where campers stand a chance of seeing elephants, buffalo and other large game. Spotted hyenas also walk up and down the fence every evening, but please do not feed them, because if they become problem animals, park officials will have to put them down.
