Fixing and Testing an Akai S2000 Sampler from 1995

Fixing and Testing an Akai S2000 Sampler from 1995 * Please Like and Subscribe* Yesterday I bought a faulty Akai S2000 Sampler from Marketplace. Now I have never really used a sampler, and I quite fancied having one. So I bought it and this is how I got on with it. Was a relatively steep learning curve on this one most of the 'Hi Tech' Music gear of the 90s I never got to use as it was so expensive. ‪@soundonsound‬ said at the time 'Astonishing value for money at a mere £999' well I can tell you in 1995 there was nothing Mere about £999 that was almost 2 months wages for me at the time. You can read the review here https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/... And the website with the system V2.0 Disk image is https://wiw.org/~meta/s2k.php UPDATE: I did find the missing screw. I also changed the floppy drive for another one, as the one that I put in was really for my BBC Micro and is slightly different to a bog standard 1.44 mb drive. Put in a bog standard floppy into the Akai still worked perfectly. So in essence you can put un any old drive and it should work. For those that ask the opening music is called 'Love Can Flow' by Me Matthew North and on all streaming platforms as well as on https://matthewnorth.bandcamp.com/alb... #matthewnorthmusic #matthewnorth #akai #akais2000 #sampler #musicmaking
