On December 3, 2006, at approximately 1 a.m., Qiao Shoufen’s eight-month-old son, Jiang Jiaru, was abducted by traffickers. In early 2024, he was finally found. For seventeen years, she searched—riding a motorbike with a can of gasoline and a box of instant noodles, traveling through more than twenty provinces every year.
