A 70-Minute Documentary by Ben Schreiner www.PumaPro.com "Recording Josephine" showcases the personalities and recording process involved in the making of the album, "Josephine" by Magnolia Electric Company. The album was recorded at engineer Steve Albini's Electrical Audio in Chicago. A rough-cut of "Recording Josephine" was screened before a MEC show on 7/11/09 at Schuba's in Chicago. For one week only (9/18-9/24, 2009), Pitchfork.tv exclusively streamed the 70-minute documentary on their website. 50 DVD copies (complete with custom, DIY style artwork created by Jason Molina & members of MEC) of "Recording Josephine" were sold during their Fall 2009 European Tour.
