Each ingredient has so many benefits and Winter is the best time for body to be able to absorb all benefits, as it builds immunity to fight against various ailments. Dates is a natural sweetener, high in fibre, and is antioxidant. Gond is excellent to boost stamina, helps with joint or back-pain and is beneficial if you are low on Vitamin D. Dry fruits are excellent source of protein, fiber, Vitamin E Recipe is easy, just follow the tips given below- Ingredients : 3 tbs + 1 tbs Ghee 80 gm Gond (Edible Gum) 1 cup Dryfruits 1/2 cup Grated Dry Coconut (optional) 2 tbs Khaskhas (Poppy Seeds) 3 tbs Sonth Powder (Dry Ginger Powder) 3-4 Elaichi Powder (Cardamom Powder - optional) 400 gm Seedless Dates (Khajur) Method : In a pan, heat 3 tbs Ghee Now gradually add 80 gm Gond Keep roasting on medium flame Once you see Gond puffed up nicely, take it in a bowl and let it cool down Once cooled, crush it Now in the same pan, dry roast 1 cup mix Dry Fruits Once cooled, coarsely grind them And take out in the bowl of gond Further dry roast 1/2 cup Dry Coconut and 2 tbs Poppy Seeds Mildly roast it and transfer in a bowl of crushed gond Add 3 tbs Sonth Powder to the mixture Add some Elaichi Powder (to get nice flavor) Mix everything nicely Further in the same pan, heat 1 tbs Ghee Add 400 gm Dates and roast till dates become soft and form a shape like a ball Cook for another 5 min till dates release Ghee from sides Now add dry mixture into dates & mix everything nicely (keep pressing it with a spoon or spatula) You may keep flame very low or turn it off Take out this mixture on a tray (greased with ghee) Spread it even when the mixture is warm Let it completely cool down, then make pieces and store it in an air tight container easily for 2 weeks No Sugar Gond Dates Pak is ready; enjoy through the Winter; one a day will keep you feel good, energetic and warm this season. . .
