Za en sam smehljaj - Patetico

Patetico is a Slovenian cabaret band, which consists of Rok Vilčnik (the idea and lyrics), Nika Perunović (vocals), Dejan Berden (piano), Ciril Sem (drums) and Matjaž Krivec (bass). Their main purpose is to link music and spoken word in a new, inovative way. They find inspiration in melodies of famous world artists like Bob Marley, Tom Waits and Van Morrison and present it with new, original lyrics written in Slovene. Those speak about how people like happy endings too much, how we all want our little peace of happiness and why can be the sadness also beautiful. They try to present the word ''pathetic'' (patetico – from pathos – in music definition originally means ''with feeling'') as something not as negative as people today think, but something beautiful and forever existing, something that hasn't been so shameful among the artists in the past.
