MAKEMAKE - The Red Dwarf Planet Beyond Pluto Makemake is a dwarf planet located far beyond the orbit of Neptune and beyond Pluto. It is known for its reddish surface color, according to analyses of the light reflected from it. Makemake is located on average 6.8 billion km from the Sun, about 45 AU. This distance is so immense that sunlight takes more than seven hours to reach it. And here, temperatures are extremely freezing.
