Sound designer and music producer Stephan Oberhoff is exploring the Behringer "Deep Mind 12" and shares a few presets as well as tasteful custom patches of this powerful machine. "The thing that really sruprised me is that the DM 12 really holds true to it's intention, to be a full polyphonic analog synth with a surprising variety of complex and very fat analogue sounds - even honoring the analogue oscillator's quirks as changing the unison detune from key to key which adds even more subtle depth to the sounds. The FX section which includes choice effects algorithms by TC Electronic adds a ton of dimension to the sound. Think about it: If you bought a vintage Prophet Synth today, you'd bring it to the studio and would have to hook up some very seriously expensive effects gear to get the variety and richness of the sound image that comes out of the stereo outs of this machine.
