Séparation, divorce : Quand tous les coups sont permis

In France, 130,000 divorces are granted each year. That's twice as many as forty years ago. Statistics show that one in three marriages ends in separation. Little by little, divorce has become a business, with its own dedicated services and specialized lawyers. In 55% of cases, divorces are by "mutual consent," an amicable, quick, and inexpensive procedure. In the other cases, the breakup is contentious. The battles in court sometimes last for years, revolving around child custody, higher alimony, or better compensatory payments. Some former spouses are prepared to do anything to confront their ex-partners: phone tapping, hacking emails and text messages, false testimony, accusations of violence, or even pedophilia. Several former couples share their stories. Directed by Dorothée Marro and Stéphane Girard
