Maybe you thought it looked too hard or would take too much time to learn. Maybe you thought you just aren't skilled enough to even try. The purpose of this video is to show you that it's fairly simple, and I can teach you how to juggle in less than five minutes! If you're a beginner learning how to juggle for the first time, this is the perfect video for you. I'll teach you how to do the basics juggling pattern which is called the three ball cascade. Once you've mastered this pattern, you'll be ready to move on to some of my other videos. Juggling has been around for thousands of years and it's done for several different reasons. First and foremost, it's fun to do and to watch. It's also a great confidence builder, and having a positive self-image can be a great asset. Juggling is a great exercise for your body and your mind and it helps build hand-eye coordination. If you get good at it, you might even get paid to juggle. (Lots of people have throughout history and still do to this day.) No matter what your reason is to juggle, it will be a skill you can carry with you for the rest of your life. You will always know that you can do something that most people can't do. You can surprise your friends or coworkers and wow them with your hidden skills. Even if you don't juggle for years, you'll be able to pick up three balls and start juggling. It's just like riding a bicycle. Are you ready to get started? Here are the steps: 1. Picking the right objects to practice with is important. I recommend using bean bags because they stay put when you drop them. 2. Practice throwing one ball from hand in a figure eight pattern. Try to get each throw to the same height. 3. Now take one ball in each hand. Throw with your dominant hand first just like you did before. When the first ball reaches its peak, throw the second ball in the same way. (Don't hand it straight across to the other hand. Both throws should go up to the same height.) This move is called "the exchange". Practice the exchange on both sides until it feels fairly comfortable. 4. Now hold two balls in your dominant hand and one ball in your less dominant hand. Throw the first ball from the hand that's holding two and when it comes down, do the exchange. Then when the second ball starts to come down, do the exchange again on the other side. Every time a ball comes down, do the exchange again. This pattern is called "the cascade". This might be pretty difficult at first. It's very important that your throws are clean and precise. Start with just three catches and then slowly work your way up, making sure each throw is done correctly. If you're having a lot of trouble, watch my other videos for tips on how to improve your technique. Once you've mastered the cascade, pat yourself on the back! You're a juggler now! This isn't the end, though. This is just the beginning. Come on over to my website JuggleBetter.com for a lifelong learning experience. It's designed to help jugglers of every skill level improve their craft. I hope this video was helpful for you and I hope you check out my website for more. Thanks for watching and happy juggling!
