Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, welcome to the Catholic Morning Prayer for July 14, 2026. Today the Church honors Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Indigenous saint of North America. Despite suffering rejection, persecution, and hardship because of her faith, she remained steadfast in her love for Christ. Her life reminds us that true holiness is born from trusting God with an undivided heart. Today's readings invite us to place our confidence in God rather than in fear or human strength. Through the prophet Isaiah, the Lord calls King Ahaz to trust Him completely. In the Gospel, Jesus laments the hardened hearts of those who refused to repent despite witnessing His mighty works. As we begin this day, let us ask for the faith of Saint Kateri—a faith that trusts God without hesitation and responds generously to His grace.
