Descolonizando o milagre grego | Bárbara Carine | TEDxGoiânia

Bárbara Carine is a unique, irreverent, and original intellectual. In this talk, she breaks with the myth of the "Greek miracle" and proposes a new origin for thought: the African continent. Not only the cradle of civilization but also the cradle of thought, a multifaceted continent with a millennial history that goes beyond school textbooks and that could (and can) achieve countless progress. Our next guest is a chemist by profession, but a decolonizer of knowledge by conviction. She is a mother, a cisgender Black woman, from the Northeast of Brazil, and vice-director of the Chemistry Institute at UFBA, and leader of the research group Diversity and Criticality in Natural Sciences. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
